Qigong – Warm Up
Hands rise through the mist
Focus is emphasized on the hands with palms always facing the lower Dan Tien. The intention is never to disturb the mist and so it is done extremely slowly breathing in when lifting the hands and out when lowering. You are starting the furnace.
Hands raise to the clouds
Hands raise to the sides like the wings of a crane and lower through the centre of the body. The focus and intention is raising chi from the earth encompassing the entire body and then compressing into the lower Dan Tien.
The purple cloud breathing techniques are used for meditation, relaxation, focus and to regulate the chi flow in the body.
Qigong – Ba Duan Jin (Eight Section Brocade)

Two hands hold up the heavens
To regulate Qi and blood as well as Yin and Yang of the triple warmer by holding the hands high with palms up.

Drawing the bow and aim
To co-ordinate the liver with the lung and smooth the functional activities of Qi by the action of posing as an archer shooting both left hand and right hand. It also works the waist area with Kidney and spleen.

Separate heaven and earth
This expands the chest and shoulders. It stretches the waist and spine by one palm against the heaven and another one pressing down. It regulates Qi and blood as well as Yin and Yang of the spleen and stomach.

Wise owl gazes backwards
It aims at adjusting the organs in the abdominal area and bowel functions as well as cleans and regulates conception and governor vessels by exercising looking backwards. It stretches the neck.

Sway the head and shake the tail
It aims to balance Yin and Yang of the body and regulate functions of viscera by swinging the head and lowering the body. It regulates the function of the heart and lungs and removes excess heat (fire) (Xin huo) from the heart.

Moving the Hands down the Back and Legs, and Touching the Feet to Strengthen the Kidneys and waist.
The technique is aimed to strengthen the waist and kidneys, deepen channels, regulate Qi and blood and promote growth and development of the individual through moving the hands down the back and legs by bending down and up with a large range.

Clench the Fists and Glare fiercely to Enhance Strength
Enhancing Qi and strength of the individual through thrusting the fists and making the eyes glare. Its movements are a co-ordination of not only being soft and slow, flexible and coherent, but also being loose and tight, dynamic and static. With the Qi endowed, individuals can also achieve a better co-ordination of form.

Bouncing on toes to Cure Diseases
To regulate Qi and blood of the viscera and prevent individuals from getting all kinds of diseases by rising and lowering the heels to cure diseases.
The converging point of the three Yin Channels and three Yang Channels of the feet is at the end of the toes, which is also connected to the organs including spleen, stomach, bladder, liver and gallbladder, thus by clawing hard towards floor, channels can be regulated, Qi and blood are dredged and functions of viscera are co-ordinated as well.
